AEC performed Environmental Due Diligence for the acquisition of a portion of the former Fred Whitaker Company textile dyeing facility located in Southeast Roanoke.  The facility includes a 440,000 square-foot structure that has dyed carpets since 1917.  The acquisition is part of a trend of adaptive re-use for this section of Roanoke away from heavy industrial towards a more affluent end user.  AEC performed our assessment in accordance with ASTM standards and the specific needs of the lender and the new owner.
